I must say that I am looking forward to the release of SEOmated.

Will the software allow us to manage web 2.0 properties in such a way that we can post to them on a regular basis using the same proxy?

I kind of like the idea of being able to post to a web 2.0 property more than once under the same proxy for a couple of reasons:

    (1) It seems it may help these properties to fly well below the spam radar and

    (2) The web 2.0 property stands to gain some authority of its own, too.

These functions are probably captured in proposed features such as the “Proxy Changer,” “Scheduler” and “Account Rotator.” If so, then that’s great. I’ll just wait patiently for the release of SEOmated.

    Hello!

Yes, that would be possible. In fact, the ‘proxy’ changer idea may be changed totally to a proxy masker or others, as creating proxy is a very expensive feature.

The main points however, that I still want to keep are the Scheduler in which you can schedule the software to ‘rotate accounts’! Among other things..

For the proxy part, I may simply integrate the software with 3rd party software like Hotspotshield or otherwise.

    Still more to be seen..

I’m a past user of SE Nuke. And while that software was very powerful and did a lot of things, I think that it was very easy to get lost in the details. Unless you kept your own detailed spreadsheets, it was difficult to remember what you did for what site with what keywords, using which accounts, and when – so that you would know the next steps to take and when to take them. (Hopefully, that was understandable). It would be really great if the software not only had a lot of different link-building capabilities, but had an easy means to keep track of it all.

It would also be nice if it came with a promotional plan that had already been tested, so users could just plug it into their own projects and not have to flail around trying to figure out what works. I think this is something that was a big part of the learning curve with SE Nuke. It’s not good enough to have powerful software if you don’t know how to make it work for your projects.

As far as actual features, I would like to see it incorporate a lot of different types of link-building – Web 2, article directories, profile links, rss submission, directory submissions, WP MU submissions, maybe subs to doc sites, and blog commenting as well. Along with quick setup of accounts and capcha solving. But I bet you’ve probably already thought of all these. :-) I think my biggest want along with the software power is a good plan, easy recordkeeping, and good workflow from one thing to another.

    Hi Linda,

    Thanks for your suggestions!

Yes, I understand what you are talking about and in fact, it is a similar problem I faced too. Actually, that’s along the lines of Content Management Systems, imo.

A good tracking system would be great and that is something I also want to incoporate into SEOmated – a interface that allows you to easily see your past records or accounts, etc.

As for the promotion plan – that is something new! Again, I faced the same problem when I started using SE Nuke – I didn’t know how to go about using it! One way I can tackle this would be to somehow incoporate a script for the scheduler so people can just copy the same script for their scheduler and run it.

And yup, I had thought of all that. :) However this has to be a growing process..

    Thanks for the great ideas!

What about a dripfeed system to post updates to web 2 properties?

  6. Jeff Lam on December 24th, 2009 1:29 pm

    Hi Eddie,

Ahh, a drip feed system would indeed be great.

However, that is quite a technical feature, but a good one nonetheless!

Thank you so much for the suggestion! I will definitely think through this. :) Perhaps it can be a feature under the scheduler module. Hmm..

    Hiya Jeff,

What is sorely lacking in most of the other powerful SEO tools is a complete video course going through each feature of the software and how to use it. SEnuke dropped the ball on this one and was even referring people, at one point, to buy someone else’s training videos?!?!

Even if you start out with the basics in video format and build from there, you will have a lot more happy customers, a lot less support tickets and a lot less refunds!

    Regards,
    V.G.

    V.G.,

You’re definitely right on that one!

Rest assured, I have that one planned down to the ball. One of the aspects for SEOmated will be user-friendliness. And one way would definitely be video tutorials!

Trust me, it’s gonna be easy on the eye and easy on the mind to use SEOmated. :)

I am eagely waiting for seomated release. I hope it will decrease my work force as i am into the link building business.

  10. Bob on January 21st, 2010 1:40 pm

A possible solution for drip feeding is to use the wordpress platform
Either a non hosted one for non commercial content (link building only) or a hosted one for commercial

Any way I’ve used software to automate wp posting with and it post dates the content.

  11. Jeff Lam on January 22nd, 2010 4:08 pm

    Hi Vilambara,

I’m sure it WILL decrease your work force. :)

    Bob,

Actually with the scheduler, I’m sure drip feeding can be easily done! Interesting way to execute drip feeding with the wordpress platform though. Have to say I’m not very well versed with wordpress myself so I cannot comment much on that!

You mentioned in your videos that the link wheel links should be random to avoid detection by search engines. Other actions should be random as well. It would be great to include a “randomizer” with the drip feed, so links would automatically be posted to 70% (or whatever percentage you choose) of the sites, with the sites being randomly chosen. For example, if there are 100 bookmarking accounts, be able to randomly select a certain percent to drip feed to. This would be especially good if you were promoting more than one site. It would save a lot of time selecting sites to post to, and would also remove any “footprints” when many people are using the same software.

Also, I agree with Linda that the ability to keep good records is very important. It would also be good to be able to create a report, in case you are doing SEO work for other people, you can show them the work that you did for them.

I am looking forward to learning more about your project!

    Dee

Got something to say?
