March 8, 2010
Howdy folks!
I bet’cha guys thought I was gone, didn’t ya?
Well, sorry to say I’m not.
March is FINALLY here..and that means one thing. The one thing that you guys are here for. The one thing that you guys are hoping to see. The one thing you guys hope will provide great value for your time exchanged..
SEOmated.
For those that may be new here, SEOmated is a SEO software which is developed by my partner, Abs Ravji, and myself. We wanted a little something more than what the current market can offer, and we were pretty confident with our SEO skills. So we put two and two together to get four.
Or Five. We added more nifty features.
So I understand many of you guys have been around for quite some time..and I’ve been pretty silent. Truth is, we are hard at work indeed. But I did tell myself come March I will reveal more..and I do feel I’ve been ignoring you guys a little.
But no worries! It’s March, and it’s indeed 2010. It’s time to shake things up a little.
In the coming week, do keep a lookout for a notification email from me.
It’s NOT the download/purchase of SEOmated..but it brings us a HUGE step closer. I’m hoping you guys will be around to support it (and me).
PLUS! You can get to see my Asian Face.
So do keep a lookout fellas, and may 2010 bring good automation to your business (and SEO, of course)!

Updates on SEOmated and Linkwheel 101
December 5, 2009
Hi folks!
Just some updates to you guys who have been waiting very patiently..
Some good news and bad news though.
Bad news first (I always prefer to end on a positive note..!)
—
SEOmated SEO Software
While development of SEOmated goes on, I may want to simply tell you guys that my requirements for SEOmated may be too large for a perfect release.
The technology and work behind it is humongous (so as to help YOU make YOUR work as minimal as possible!).
As such, not all features I listed out on the main page will be implemented in the first release, if at all.
However, I will want SEOmated to have the basic core functions to be there for a first release..while I will continue to add more features as the weeks/months go by.
The software will continue to build itself, and add more features as it goes by.
You may be thinking: “So how can SEOmated compete with the big guns out there? Why should anyone even take a look at it?”
Why indeed! Because of 3 letters: USP
—
Unique Selling Points
The reason for the concept/idea of SEOmated is simple: Current software, though powerful, still display fundamental flaws that are nagging users.
So what are SEOmated’s greatest unique selling points?
- As much as possible, SEOmated will run in the background, out of sight – so you can maintain control of your computer.
- As much as possible, SEOmated’s scheduler will allow you to SET & FORGET the software – so you do not have to manage it every hour or everyday..it is truly automation at its best.
That is the two greatest USP for SEOmated.
—
So why is it bad news?
Because the technology for it and the methods of doing it are not that obvious OR easy.
It is in fact, very costly.
That is why I used the phrase, ‘As much as possible’ for the two USPs above.
—
Ready for the good news?
Well….with my determination to NEVER give up, I have indeed came up with numerous solutions that can be implemented to continue development of this 2 features for SEOmated SEO software.
And no, I shan’t bore you with technical jargon here..that’s for me and my developers to discuss and mull over.
ETA for SEOmated is not anytime soon. In fact, expect a 2010 announcement.
Sorry to disappoint, folks!
Moving on..

Linkwheel 101
Those in the SEOmated mailing list should know about this: I have been busying myself with a series of videos that aim to teach you how to use linkwheels appropriately for your SEO strategy.
I managed to get about 9 reviewers to aid me in feedback too.
(And only about 4 guys replied..the other 5 guys, I’m still waiting..;))
..well, looks like I have yet to improve much from videos! Linkwheel 101’s reception isn’t that great.
It’s flaws included (and is not exhausted here):
- Rapid speech and lack of good voice pronunciation and voice tone
- Rather unstructured provision of concepts and ideas
- Long winded and repeititive of words
- Not very interesting overall (uh oh!)
- May or may not be user-friendly AND newbie-friendly
From the deepest of my heart, a great THANK YOU to the reviewers (well, those that actually gave me feedback) for their excellent and detailed feedback!
I appreciate it, and am VERY sorry for putting you through those long and uninteresting videos!
The good news for this?
Again, my determined attitude has prevailed! I will now aim to correct it by:
- Re-planning the whole package to present the concepts and ideas more clearly
- Re-capture and re-voice the entire thing, with better voice enthusiasm and voice tone
- I will keep reminding myself to speak clearly and slowly
- I am going to add more value into this package by:
- Addition of more indepth keyword research, including finding out the true competition
- Addition of getting more keyword terms and variations
- Addition of bots that can automate the above two for you easily
- Addition of several solid backlinks (100+ solid links)
- Addition of ‘Behind the Shoulder’, step-by-step, exactly what I do to rank my site high. And the website I am going to use? THIS SITE!
That’s right folks!
SEOmated.com is a rather new site, and I will be attempting to use my SEO techniques to rank SEOmated.com AND this blog high for several keyword terms on Google.
And I will show you step-by-step what I will do.

That’s all from me folks!
It has been a long (and awaited) update. Have any comments? Please use the comment box below!

SEO Practitioners..do you know how Search Engines work?
November 22, 2009
Yes, you carry out SEO. Great job!
But have you asked yourself if you really understand how your goldmine works?
- What is the aim of the search engines?
- What drives them?
- What is their aim in doing all these?
- How do they profit?
- Why do users prefer a particular search engine to the other?
- Etc
By understanding, even a little of what they (the search engines) are doing, you may play better by their rules..
..and hope fully get better results!
Like the saying goes, “Know your enemy and know yourself, and you will succeed.”
It’s about time you know a little more about your enemy.
So firstly, what exactly do search engines want?
Easy. Think from a searcher point of view.
You want fast results. You want accurate results. You want RELEVANT results.
You don’t want to be typing “how to cook sphagetti” and have results telling you to buy the latest face product.
You don’t want to type “miserable failure” and have your picture shown.
(Which by the way, the link to the picture above shows you how powerful anchor text and backlinks are.
)
And it is the search engine’s job to ensure you get the most relevant, accurate result in the fastest time for your search query.
So what do you learn?
Always exhibit to the search engines and the world that your content is RELEVANT and ACCURATE to whatever search term you are aiming for!
Relevant is simply ensuring you optimise your site appropriately so search engine crawlers will categorise your site correctly. And to NOT spam random nonsense on your site.
Yes, even Google adwords should be relevant.
And so are the links to whatever pages or articles or media on your site.
Accuracy is as good as pinpoint the exact keyword phrases you want to target for and use them (appropriately, and best in header tags) on your site.
Got it? Good.
Secondly, for the search engines to do their job right, they track how their searchers perform their search queries.
And it’s good for you to know too.
There are many kinds of searches…but let’s focus on the finding information kind of search yeah?
The typical search query goes about like this:
- User A searches for a broad keyword (making money online)
- User A clicks scans the results and clicks on the first few and most relevant sites (such sites show authority and social proof along with good copywriting page titles and description)
- User A found a few more indepth information to his original searchand clicks on another site from his main page OR/AND..
- User A searches on the search engine for a more refined keyword (making money online using blogs)
- The above steps go on for awhile until User A finds what s/he wants.
I’m not making the above up..all the above is results of tracking from search engines of users (yes, they DO track what you search for..)
So what do you learn from the above?
…
Go on, think about it for a sec.
…
…
…
Got it?
Yes, it is that long tail keywords are worth targetting!
Why? Because the user will continue to refine his search until it gets so specific to achieve the “best” and most “relevant” and “accurate” results!
And by this time, you WANT to appear for the exact term s/he is looking for.
Because you will more than likely have what s/he wants…and s/he will be more than happy to read what you have to say (and you can ask for an exchange..).
Hence, do not give up on targetting several long tail keywords for your site.
So what are your comments on this issue? Am I wrong? Am I stating the oh-so-obvious? Comment below!
Some updates..
November 19, 2009
Hope you’re enjoying the various free SEO tips and techniques!
Just to let you know I’m a human and would love feedback to serve you better.
Just want to give a little update:
1) I will be releasing a “How to Create LinkWheels” product very soon. It’s nothing extremely advance, but I may add in extra goodies in it to give you guys even more value.
Rest assured, if I were to set a price for it, it wouldn’t be very expensive. More like a cup of coffee or less pricing.
What I’m hoping for is a little feedback of what you guys would love to see in such a product.
Video? PDF Documents? Do you know exactly what are linkwheels? How to do them right? How to write the articles, input the links?
Yup, anything at all fellas!
Just drop a feedback to me at seomated@gmail.com
Your feedback is greatly appreciated!
2) Here’s something really exciting..!
SEOmated – The automated SEO software which I am developing, is undergoing extensive research and development.
I understand there are many similar softwares that claim to do the same thing…
..but I truly believe SEOmated will be THE best.
For a start, it gives you the same end results using a totally different method, which is much less distractive and much more quicker and efficient.
Don’t worry, more details will be given as the product is developed.
As usual, my list members get the first hand information first AND the best deals or offers.
Many people have asked me when is the launch of SEOmated.
I do not want to commit to a date right now as I want to develop the software to its “showroom” best before the release.
However, what I can tell you guys is that a first release won’t be anytime soon. At least a good 1-2 months.
But trust me, it’s gonna be worth the wait.
OH! Before I sign off, I would like to simply tell you guys that I will be putting more updates on any SEO related tips AND SEOmated development on the SEOmated blog (www.seomated.com/blog).
So do check back often and leave your feedback!
Cheers
Jeff Lam
